Tom is Chief Marketing Officer for SOS Hydration and he oversees all worldwide aspects of the company’s online marketing, in- store marketing, PR programmes, on-site event marketing initiatives and directs the SOS Elite Athlete Spokesperson Programme. Tom moved from England to New Zealand in 2005 to assume the role of Chief Operations Officer for Triathlon New Zealand, after which he became Chief Executive Officer of the 2010 World Rowing Championships. He has won both an International Olympic Committee award and a FISA medal of honour for services to Sport. Through his company Mayo& Ltd., Tom’s team successfully delivered the Volvo Ocean Race Auckland Stopover held in March 2012 and 2015. Tom has founded and launched six international sporting events, for which he led fundraising efforts that yielded more than $34 million in investment capital from commercial, public and private investors. Tom ran for Great Britain over 1500m and 3000m, and has run the mile in 3:55. Tom is the brother of James Mayo.
